Cheaper alternative to Sony RX1? Compact camera that shoots quality videos?

I'm looking for a nice compact camera that will shoot good quality videos. After doing some research I really like what the Sony RX1 has to offer, unfortunately it's quite pricey for me. The cheapest I've been able to find online is $2,110. I've also been looking at the Fujifilm XM1, which is more in my price range, but was curious what other options I might have. I've had a Nikon D3000 for quite some time but since I'll be moving to Italy in a few months I really want something more compact and that will take nice sharp videos.

Look at the Fujifilm X series cameras.

They start at just under $1,200 with a lens for the X-T1 and X-20 at under $500

You can find them on Amazon.

I will continue using my Nikon dSLR system when on assignment, however I have recently purchased a Nikon 1, V3 which I can use when doing time studies. It is able to shoot video at 400 fps and if I do not need the resolution, at an astounding 1,000 fps.

It fits a niche that other cameras have yet to fill. The major plus is that I can use all my Nikkor lenses with the Nikon FT-1 Mount Adapter with the V-3

When you looked at the Sony RX1, did you also look at the Sony RX100? While it isn't a full frame or APS-C sensor camera, folks are getting great results with it.
