I want to buy the D3200 but i also want an affordable external flash that is good for low light shots. So i Want to know if any flash can fit it.

Two things to think about.

If you want the flash to be automatically controlled, you must buy a iTTL (Nikon) compatible flash. If you are fine with manual exposure control and manual flash control, almost any flash having manual mode will work…

however, older flashes have higher voltages on their flash triggering circuitry, which can damage modern DLSRs. While Canon seems to be more susceptible to damage, I don't think Nikon is immune.

If you are gong to use an old manual control flash, at least buy one of these flash isolators, which will keep your camera's internal flash triggering system safe:

Any manual or auto thyristor flash with a standard hot shoe will work, if you know how to use it. You can't use a TTL dedicated flash made for anything but Nikon's iTTL system. That means older Nikon units before the SB-600 or SB-800 will not work properly either.

Canon was actually the ONLY company with the flash frying the camera issue, and that was with the Digital Rebel (300D). This has been a Snopes-worthy urban myth ever since, that you must only use certain flashes or risk damage to the camera.
