Any creative photo shoot ideas?

I just got a new camera (Nikon D3100), I want to shoot two of my best friends. The problem is that I don't have many ideas for a photo shoot theme. I'm not looking for erotic photos, just normal fun ones.

Just start taking pictures of them in all sorts of situations. This will get you familiar with the equipment & them to get use to you having it & become more relaxed around you. The ideas should come along within a little time as to lighting angels mood & situations. Don't shoot them, but capture their image. Good Luck! & Have some fun as digital images can be deleted very easy so just keep taking pictures.

Take technically GOOD photos… That would be Really creative as most "newbies" take ridiculous shots… Learn the camera and photography basics - THEN start with "creative"…

Make a long shutter speed, (don't forget the tripod, or something to mount it on. If you hold it, even very still, it will still end up blurry) and turn off the lights. Get glow sticks, candles, or small flashlights and write/ draw something in the air. If the camera is still running, turn off the light and/or stay still.
