Picture ideas for a DSLR?

I have a Nikon D5100 and I wany to try something different with my photography but I don't know what. I have already done light photography, water splashes, and a little bit of bookeh. I want to try night photography but I don't know what else I could do besides light trails. Any ideas/advice?

If you are in a rural area or can get out to where there are very dark skies, you can try to shoot the Milky Way, get out during a meteor shower, or shoot star trails. You can also do day/night 360s or long term time lapse projects.
