Nikon d70 light meter?

Do you think this would be worth the buy? I'm just wondering if what he's explaining is just a setting issue. I hada similar issue with my d70s but it turned out to be a button I accidently hit.
It might be something as simple as a button, but it may also have been abused. I had a D70 and loved it, but gave it to a friend several years ago for his 1st dslr. I see several working ones for similar prices on Ebay.

But, the D70 is an older camera. You might consider spending a little more and getting a more current model with lower mileage.
If you don't know much about using a dSLR in manual mode, I advise against this. To discourage you further, take note that authorized Nikon service centers only accept repairs if the camera was bought within their distributorship area. If not, they would advise you to go to an off-shore international service center.
