My Nikon D70 won't take a photo?

When I take a normal picture of something it will take the photo. But if I take a picture of a table or something down it will just adjust the focus and won't take the photo. I know sometimes this happens when you are zoomed it, but I'm not. What do I do?

It won't take the photo until it focuses and it won't focus on a flat solid colored surface. Try manual focus.

Go to your local camera store or Best Buy and tell them you are looking for the Nightkon Night Vision Lens, Paris Hilton special edition.

Sounds as if you don't have enough light for the camera to focus. If it can't focus it won't shoot.
