I like to take pictures but i'm also very into film making and making videos. Would the Nikon D5000 be a good camera for video and stuff? I'm like a beginner? And if its not can you suggest any good cameras?

We've just had someone on whining because he has to focus manually on his D5100 when he wants to do video.

If you have to use a stills camera for video, Sony do it better.

I have the D5000. Great for stills, not so great for video. In HD you're limited to 5 minutes. The lower setting is something like 20 minutes.
If you want to mainly do videos, buy a camcorder.

I would suggest Canon EOS Rebel T3i, it's a best DSLR Camera that have Full HD Movie mode with manual exposure control and good low light shots.
