Adapter for Canon T50 SLR lenses to nikon D5100 DSLR?
I recently stumbled upon an older Canon T50 SLR and found a good amount of very nice lenses for it. I was just wondering if anyone could point out an adapter for the lenses so i could use them on my Nikon D5100
Not sure it would be worth it: no AF, no metering
Unstumble
If you want a used 35 mm camera, look for a Nikon that is less than 25 years old.
The Canon T50 uses obsolete lenses (FD and FL. The lenses can't be adapted to fit your D5100 and if you could find a manual lens that would (old Nikkor manual focus AI lenses) you could not use the Nikon light meter.
Just pass on the "good deal". The Canon T50 is nothing more than a P&S cameras (shoots only in the program mode with no control over the lens aperture or shutter speed)
Look for a nice Nikon N65 or better, $100 on craigslist with a lens
Popular Photography magazine just did an article on lens adapters.
Look for it.
There are some negative points to adapting lenses,
one being the cost of the adapters.
They are far from cheap, so you would most likely be better served
by spending the same money on something else.
Not worth the trouble.
Sell the lot to buy yourself a Nikon lens.
