Am going to Holy Land. Have a Nikon 5100 camera and wanted to what lense to use? Lens?

Israel has varied sites. Some will require close ups with low light, some will be large vistas in very bright light. I would take any versatile walking around lens for most things, such as the 18-200mm Nikkor or the 18-270mm PZD Tamron. I would also take a fast wide lens such as the 35mm f/1.8 Nikkor. Keep in mind that it is a dry, dusty place that will require gentle but constant lens cleaning.

18-55mm, 55-200mm, 50mm 1.8.

One lens? 35mm f1.4 or 18-55mm.
Two lenses? The two above.
Three lenses? Add a 75-300mm (or something like that) to the two above.
