Will the tokina 16-28mm lens work on a DX Nikon DSLR?
Those Lens are intended for full frame but i'm wondering what will be the focal and if everything will still work on a DX DSLR.
Yes, as long as you order the Nikon mount, it will fit and work. Your smaller sensor will only use the middle portion of the full frame lens, but that is OK. It will be a 1.5 crop, which means that it will work like a 24-47mm lens would on a full frame camera. I have two full frame lenses on my D90 and they work just fine.
The only issue is whether or not the lens will autofocus, which depends on which body you are using. The D90 mentioned above will work, since it has a focus screw in the body. The lower end stuff, D3xxx/D5xxx and older in that line, require AF-S lenses to autofocus. I don't know if this Tokina has the equivalent of an AF-S motor in it, so that would be something to keep in mind.
Yes but only if it comes with a Nikon mount. Be very specific about that.
If your camera does not have an autofocus motor (D40, D3200, D5200, etc.) and you want to use autofocus with your new lens, make sure the Tokina you are buying has the IF spec.
