Will my computer charge it?

I have a nikon s1 camera and the usb cable,
will my computer charge the battery in the camera, if its connected with the usb?
(I've ordered a charger from ebay… Still waiting)

If it has a fixed, built in, rechargeable battery, I would expect 'yes'
If you can remove & swap the batteries (as part of normal use) I would expect 'no'.
What does the manual say?

Yes it definitely does charge the battery through the USB. You can also get a plug for the wall that fits usb cables in it to charge it in a socket too.
