Nikon SLR Cameras

Which Nikon camera is great for beginners/starters?

I recently bought a Canon T3, but many photographers that I know have Nikon and their photos come out way better even before the editing stuff. I'm going to take a photography course this coming fall and I would really like to save up for a Nikon, but I do not know which would be a great one for me since I would barely be a beginner, although I can learn fast and pick up quick, I would also like for it to be as of good use. In other words I do not want to get a simple, simple one but one that would also benefit me for when I get the hang of photography.

Could someone please be so kind and give me feedback. Please and Thank-you!

Changing your camera will not improve your photography. The T3 is just as good as Nikon entry level cameras and if you use it properly is capable of fantastic results.

The problem is you not the camera - taking a course is a good idea. Don't waste your money changing your camera - your course will help.

Its really not the camera that makes better picture its a) the photographer and b) the right lens and c) a off camera flash

Stick with the canon t3 its a great dslr. Instead of spending money on a new nikon camera try picking up a new lens for it. I suggest the 50mm 1.8 lens shouldnt cost us more than $150. The photography class will later give you some more insight on how to take better pics. Until then try watching some youtube videos on photography. Its a great resource.

Trust me stick with the camera you got and you won't regret it.

It's all about what you know. The camera is only a tool. Your camera is fine. Hurry up in learning instead.
