Which falsh is best for nikon flash- SB700 & SB900
Both are all singing/all dancing Nikon TTL + fully manual flashes. Both can act as both commander & remote units in cameras equipped with Nikon's CLS off camera flash system.
The SB900 is the most expensive & comes with auto colour correction gels for white balance plus a few other gimmicks. The SB700 is ideal if you're budget is tight.
Of course, if you just want a manual off camera flash & are prepared to put in a bit of time & effort to learn to light manually, you could save yourself a fortune and get a cheaper manual flash (around £50) as opposed to spending £250-£350 on a flash gun.
The current "best" flash for Nikon is the SB-910.
They are both great flashes, and the SB900 (and it's replacement, the SB910) is considered the big brother of the SB700.
The SB900 is a bit more powerful, has a few more features, but is a bit larger and heavier.
If you are doing wedding photography or need the extra power/capacity - get the SB910. Otherwise, the SB700 is sufficient for most day-to-day use.
