Where can I buy a 35mm film camera?
I need a 35mm film camera for my photography class. The only ones I can seem to find on sale online are on eBay or Amazon where they are sold as used cameras. Is there anywhere I could buy a new one? Maybe a Nikon or Canon and under $100? It has to be a 35mm film camera.
A new one will cost a ton since they are no longer made. I suggest you get a very nice used one.eBay has great prices for near mint 35mm film cameras.
You won't get any new decent film camera for under $100 so you'll have to get a used one. New ones are going to be nearer $300, e.g. Link
Ebay is NOT the best way to go.
You can find a good used Nikon or Canon 35 mm SLR for under $100 on craigslist.
craigslist is the best choice for a few reasons.
* you get to test the camera
* you get to see if the camera or lens has been damaged or abused
* you do not have to pay any shipping cost.

It could be best to visit a real camera store. They may have some decent used models, and they should offer a short store guaranty.
There are inexpensive Russian Zenit and Kiev cameras, but these are often troublesome.
Unused film SLR's include the Promaster 2500 PK Super and the Nikon FM10. These will be about triple your budget. Many people are happy with these, but it seems like bad samples are not rare.
