What's the easiest/best way to upload pucs to facebook from Nikon software?

I have a NIKON S550 with pictureproject from a previous camera, I deleted that and got NX, deleted that and got NX2, but from nx2 to picturetown to Facebook is kind of a joke as far as getting a picture in Facebook these days. Also as far as I know with picture town it only goes straight to your page, no options for diferent albums, headings, profile etc.

Does NIKON have better/newer software that makes it simpler and with more options than NX2 and picturetown?

Your image management model is interesting

Most of us copy all of our image files from the memory card to our computer using the computers file manager.

IF and I say if, we want to place any of them on facebook, it is much easier to use a program like Photoshop to resize the images for posting on facebook (usually 600x400 @ 72 DPI), saving the new resized image under a different name so we do NOT overwrite the original images.

The NX2 is designed for professional photographers who use their time sending high resolution image to clients. It is primarily used to process RAW files and then saving them as high quality JPEG or TIFF files

It appears you have a program designed for professionals and you seem to be an advanced amateur.

A program like Photoshop Elements 9 will do what you want for under $90

As far as I know, the easiest (not necessarily the fastest) way of doing this is to connect your camera to the computer, fire up your web browser, go to Facebook, log-in, use the on-line picture uploader utility there and point to your pictures directly from the camera.

To make the process go faster (since the camera and memory card are super slow), upon connecting the camera to the computer, use the computer's file manager to copy the pictures to the computer's hard disk first then continue to Facebook to upload and point to the pictures you copied to the hard disk instead.

If you are wondering where Nikon's software fits in, then you probably haven't guessed it yet. It's not required and you can un-install it to give you more control over your computer and pictures.
