What would the focal length of the 70-200mm Lens be on a DX Camera body?

I'm thinking of purchasing the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens and am wanting to know what the focal length difference would be if I where to use it on a DX camera body.

The lens would still be a 70-200 mm. That does not change.

What does change is the angle of view when such a lens is attached to a DX camera body.

The relative angle of view would be similar to a 105-300 mm lens (if one existed)

Here is a link you may find helpful when determining the field of view of any focal length when mounted on either a DX or FX camera

You do not need to ask. Just multiply both numbers by 1.5.

Fhotoace is correct.

Still 70-200mm. Focal length does not change whatever the sensor size is.

What changes is angle (or field) of view. If you're not used to seeing through a 35mm camera, it shouldn't matter. You just shoot what you see.

If you really want to know, the 70-200mm lens on an APS-C camera will see like a 105-300mm lens (but nothing like that actually exists) on a 35mm film or full-frame camera.
