What lens fits on a Nikon F (1959)?
I'm thinking of buying A Nikon F (1959) Camera but I do know what lenses are compatiable with it
It takes Pre-AI, AI and AIS lens types - look for a Nikon-fit lens with a coupling-fork (the famous, 'Rabbit-ears,') on the aperture ring.
It's also a very good idea to beg, steal or borrow a manual.
For non-metered prisms, Pre-AI, AI, AI-S, AI-P, AF/AF-D, and NON G-type AF-I/AF-S will all work as normal.
For metered prisms, Pre-AI, AI, AI-S will work straight away with the "Rabbit Ear" coupling prongs and AI-P, AF/AF-D and Non G-type lenses will work with stop down metering, or can be retrofitted with a the "rabbit ears."
For a mere $100 you can buy this Nikon Saitex 35-200mm f3.5-4.5 Ai lens from seller Rokas Photo and Video---it is MINT condition and has the Nikon mount and a Japan product. CHECK IT OUT NOW---Ebay.com [cameras & photo].
