What is the cheapest nikon camera I can get?
Want to get into photography, so I would need a camera for it. I'm thinking one like this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5599523.htm?CMPID=GS001&_$ja=cgid:5896432742|tsid:41408|cid:130166702|lid:47487158582|nw:g|crid:26275668422|rnd:1288681540506441743|dvc:c|adp:1o4 but its really expensive. I was just wondering if there's any less expensive ones out there that I wouldn't know about?
That is about the bottom line if you want a DSLR. You may still be able to find some left-over (new) D3000s, but the D3100 is quite a jump up in sophistication. I would not recommend the D3000 if you are only saving a few dollars. Why spend $400 to save $50?
Argos are still doing the D3000 - if you can live without video and Live View.
If you can't afford a DSLR and want to go for a bridge camera, Fujifilm are better than Nikon.
The Nikon D70s. Yes, it's old, but it's $100 and many pro photographers have created award winning photos with this camera. Use the rest of the money for a lens! That's where all the money should go to. Try a Nikon 35mm f/1.8 AF-S lens for $200 better than that slow kit zoom
look up Nikon D70 on YouTube and see how durable it really is.
