What does it mean when your rechargable batterie reads battery exhausted?
My Nikon battery is new. My second one. After I charged my battery it clicked and now the read out on the display screen on the camera reads "battery exhausted". Now it doesn't do anything else. Any ideas?
If it is 'over' charged, is there anything I can do to make it work?
Check to see if Nikon (on their website) has updated software for your camera. On my D300, I was continually getting the "exhausted battery" icon, even when the battery was freshly and fully charged. After downloading the update, the problem went away.
The other possibility is your charger. There's a chance that it may NOT be giving your battery a full charge. Do both batteries behave the same way?
