Are you asking what a theoretical camera that cost $800 now would have cost in 1948?
Such a camera would have cost about $82.95

The domestic retail price for the camera with the NIKKOR 5cm f/2 was fixed at 57, 690- Japanese Yen, and released in March, 1948.

Sorry, AWB, there was. The lens was made for Canon and modified to fit (long story), it used Minolta's 24x32mm negative dimensions and despite its Leica shutter looked a lot like a Contax. It was the forerunner of the M and S rangefinders.
There were very few made and the unusual negative size made them incompatible with Kodak slide mounts (the later Nikon M used 24x34mm), so it was never exported.
TBH, I can't even find a price in Yen

There was no Nikon 1 in 1948.
Edit---
OK, you got me on that one.
- How to just flash but not actually shoot in Nikon D5000?
- Did not format SD card and lost pictures, Can I get them back?
- Why Nikon D60 then D7000, then D90?
- I might consider buying a camera? Not now but maby later, just for the heck of it?
- Why did the buttons on the back of my nikon d5300 stop working?
