What Can I Do About Speck Of Dust Inside Wide Angle Nikon Lens?
Looks like there's a very tiny poiece of dust in the very center of this lens, which you can see in the picture. I have contacted Nikon and they said they don't clean lenses this old. However this lens in mint shape sells for $2000 on ebay, or at least has twice recently, so I really want to get rid of that dust if I can. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Added (1). Though there are 3 little white spots in the center of lens which look like they could be specks of dust, it is only the one at the bottom of the 3 which is, the others are just reflections of light
A good camera shop should have this facility. If not, they will recommend a reliable firm.
Maybe a stupid question, but is the dust having any effect on the images? You could end up spending a lot of money and not gaining anything.
A speck of dust won't affect your images noticeably. If you're worried about it, take it to a camera repair place. Otherwise, enjoy your lens.
