Nikon SLR Cameras

What camera brand is best in producing a nostalgic feeling/effect in photos?

Canon or Nikon? If you have a specific brand and model, it's okay. I'm not used to digital camera and I'm using an SLR camera. That's why if I buy my own DSLR camera, I want to have the one with the nostalgic effect in the photos. I also like those with strong colors,

I suggest sony they are the greatest if not go to your nearest store and ask some experts although i'm a photographer myself so i do know a camera when i see one.

You think they just come out with nostalgic effect? If that would be the case, 5 would buy them.

Since you have an SLR you should know that.

It's all done in Photoshop or Lightroom - for most, it's a way to create boring images into interesting ones. It can look beautiful but making good images out of the camera is more appreciated and we all see the raw talent.

Again, it's not about the brand. It's about the model. Think, if Canon would be better, Nikon would be gone, vice versa.

Here's a post called 'Buying a DSLR, what's important, megapixels, features, brand, price and which one to buy - http://www.the-dslr-photographer.com/2009/03/which-dslr-to-buy.html

The site has more tutorials and tips for you.

You can alter photos from any brand of camera to have the atmosphere you desire, just get some software for your computer. Both Canon and Nikon are good brands, but always best to take photos at a neutral setting and play later.

Its not done in camera - its post processing with software using filter effects usually.

I would have thought that as an SLR owner you'd've known that.

Pentax K-x. It has "Old camera", "Toy camera" and "High contrast" effects to bring out nostalgic pictures in-camera without the need to edit in the computer.
