Well my niece is turning 29 soon. She is a professional photographer but her old NIKON camera was stolen, and for her birthday I'd like to get her a new one. It has to be the best camera out there and me not really knowing all that much about electronics would probably end up buying her a really bad one, so I really need your help on this. Also any good lenses?

If you're actually talking "professional" cameras you could be into 4 - 8 thousand dollars not including lenses.

Here's a good place to do some research.

Best Nikon model? D3x - about £5000 body only. Lenses? Well that depends on what she shoots.

Classic Nikon glass for portraits/weddings;
24-70mm f2.8 £1224
70-200mm f2.8 £1630
85mm f1.4 £1250

Then there's flash - a couple of SB910 speedlights = 2x £450

Your budget? If you want to buy her the best, it'll be around $7000. Your daughter probably doesn't need it.

There's no best out there, because we all have preferences. What was her previous camera? Nikon D3100, D5100, D7000 and D700 are great models, from $500 to $2500.

You should not buy a camera for a professional photographer unless you know for sure exactly what she wants. She needs to choose the camera herself. Tell her that you want to buy her a camera and take her with you to look at some.
