What are good nikon cameras?

So I want to get a nikon camera and I'm looking around but I don't really know which would be best. I don't need a video feature or anything I just want a camera that is good to take clear pictures. I'll also be taking action shots so I want those clear too. I know the whole the camera only works as well as the photographer yada-yada whatever but which ones are honestly better?

Ehh… D3100, d5100, d7000

Nikon doesn't make garbage. Their cameras are all excellent for the price of them.
With the cheaper cameras you get cheaper results, as you go up in price you get bigger sensors, better quality and more features. It depends on your budget and what you NEED.

I'd look at a Nikon D3100. A very nice camera to start with.

Don't know how much you're spending. I love my Nikon D90.
