Single-lens reflex camera's?

This may be a stupid question, but.umm, I think i'm going to buy a camera, the other option is a laptop. But I prefer the camera, but i'm wondering.csn I set the time for it? Like 10 seconds.

All dSLRs can shoot from 1/2000s to 30s. Many can shoot faster than that and with the Bulb setting, you can set the shutter to open as long as you are pressing the button.

If you are talking about the self-timer, yes. There are usually two settings, 2 seconds and something longer like 10s.
