I have recently won a lens on ebay but i'm trying to find if its works for my canon 60d. Are these lens compatible for canon and nikon? Please help… I won it for £122 so if it is for a nikon if i resold it would i get good money? I'm a novice with regards to photography as its a new element i've had to start for my masters degree in film production so ideally i brought my camera for filming more than photography.cheers

Sigma make lenses for all the major camera manufacturers - the seller would have listed which one it is for.

They are NOT interchangeable - if it's a Nikon mount (or any other for that matter), then it won't fit on a Canon.

You should've asked this question before you bid on it…

If it's the wrong mount then you could either use it as a paperweight, or resell it. You could list it on eBay with a reserve somewhere near what you paid for it. You might get your money back or you might not - just depends on whether there's lots of bidders after it.

I'll second deep bue2 and add that if you can't determine from an eBay listing what mount a lens has you can always send a message to the seller before bidding. Many listers use an "as-is" clause, meaning that if you buy it you own it, whether it works on your camera or not.

£122 seems a bit high, and it's been my observation that eBay prices in Europe tend a bit lower than in the US (but by the time all the import, shipping and what not is added I can buy cheaper over here in the USA).

To determine what you have look on the mount. Contact Sigma if in doubt.
