Recommend a Digital Camera for Me?

So, I'm looking for a new digital camera as mine is just the typical slim camera that does very basic things and the screen is cracked. I would use it for pictures when attending conventions (Like Anime Expo, Connecticon, Comic Con, etc.), the occasional trip, and when I feel as though I'd like to do a mini photo shoot. I want something not to big but not a slim camera, I mainly don't want to have a large lens attachment.

maybe: image (Not necessarily a Nikon)

My current camera is a Casio EX S10 Exlim: http://www.dpreview.com/...oexs10.asp

Price Range: $550 or below and preferably it would be a Canon or Nikon, I'm a little unsure of Kodak cameras.

I would like to suggest a canon t2i. But you might find this too big. It features interchangable lenses anf a large sensor with hot shoot adaptors.
This may be too much camera for you

canon g12, if you want to use the hot shoe for off camera flash.

Canon s95, for something smaller and compact.

No matter which camera you choose it doesn't seem like you know what you are looking for. And i feel pretty certain that regardless of the camera you choose, you will not notice much difference. So my recommendation is te even cheaper simple 100-200 dollar compact cameras

The EOS Rebel T3 is a budget DSLR from Canon that offers a 720p HD video record mode. The camera certainly doesn't have the same video features or performance as Canon's more-expensive Rebel T3i, but the quality of its video mode wasn't bad for a camera with a sub-$600 price tag (including kit lens).
