Does the MS Lifecam Studio have good photograph quality? I need a webcam for still photos, and have a Logitech 525 rated at 8MP, but pictures are just large without high resolution or clarity. What is the true optical quality of the Studio? I have a Nikon 4MP digital camera that takes nice pictures, but want the ease of computer control and storage of a webcam. I like the tripod mounting capability as well. I not as concerned with streaming, video chat, skype, etc.
What happens when you try to manual focus while the lens is auto-focusing?
I'm talking about the lenses that has all-time manual focus ability like higher-end Canon and Nikon lenses. When you half-press the shutter and the lens is hunting for focus, what happens when you try to rotate the ring in this process? Does the lens ignore your override or not?
