Nikon SLR Cameras

Nikon or canon in the long run? (lenses/entry level)?

I'm deciding on buying my first entry dslr.i'm not asking which camera i should get like i did in my last question.i'm asking which one is worth investing money towards. I know people say "nikon people will say nikon, canon will say canon" and that's alright.

i know that lenses will be important so i'm unsure.
i've done nikon and canon photo comparisons for months (i know that i can't just judge from these based on the photographer experience) but honestly canon photos look more attractive among the flickr community compared to nikon ones.

my main question is which brand (not camera) would be worth it ultimately (including lenses).
please tell me all you know about both brands if you can, not just that "nikon people will say nikon, canon will say canon."
thanks.

Added (1). P.s you can disregard what i said about canon photos looking more attractive u

Added (2). Hello taylor! I saw your answer on my other question, thanks for answering again

Brand loyalty is a fact of life in the photo business. Either really. Both brands are rated to around
a 100, 000 shutter count, a level most consumers will never reach.

In other words either brand will last you for many years.

Nikon, Pentax, Sony, Olympus and Canon all make great cameras. Compared to Nikon and Sony, Canon's most recent offerings are a little behind in terms of technology, but they're still good cameras. Unless you've been comparing images on a calibrated your "months of comparing" was wasted. Canon caters to beginners who like saturated colors, so their processing systems on their entry-level DSLRs (and upper entry-level & semi pro models) are tuned to provide saturated (sometimes over-saturated) colors. Nikon and most other manufacturer tune their cameras (at their default settings) tend to produce more neutral colors, which makes them easier to post-process. Jim is correct, any DSLR from Canon or Nikon or whoever will last you at least 5 years if you take care of it.

Just choose one, start shooting and be happy with it. This debate will never end and if you keep focusing which is best, you will never be satisfied on what you have.
