I use a Nikon D3000.

It has a nice interface for beginners, and a good program to make good shots and learn to make good shots totally manually.

Also its not to expensive.

Sorry, but you don't give enough info here. What do you plan on using the camera for? Everyday shooting? Close ups? Portraits? Both cameras (Nikon and Canon) would be good in my opinion. Canon has the EOS Rebel that always seems to earn high marks. But Nikon is a very well respected names in cameras, and usually makes a good product. However the Nikons tend to have more features but also are often more difficult to learn to use. But often this can be overcome by just reading the owner's manual. You may also want to look at availability of accesories for both, depending on the level of photography needs you may have. I suggest you decide what you will be doing most, then look for online reviews via google, for a camera that fits your needs.

I have the Nikon D3100, and it is super easy to use, and i'm a beginner.
Nikon has better iso levels, so you can take better shots in low lighting. Nikon is notorious for this feature.
The D3100 has a guide switch where it helps you take better photos.
Canon and Nikon are the top two, so whichever you go with, you won't regret your purchase.
Personally i'm a Nikon person.
I suggest you read up both brands and see which sounds more appealing on what kinda photos you like best.

here are some shots taken with my nikon
