Nikon or canon DSLR? - 2
I would love to get a dslr, but i don't wish to spend alot of money. But i want a dslr which is quite good in performance while being sold for a considerable price
Canon have more lenses choices unlike Nikon
Canon 500D is a great camera for beginners.
Nikon D3100 is the best camera you can have for money. Cheaper than it's Canon counterparts and loaded with many unique features.
A Nikon D3100 is a great beginner DSLR. It uses any Nikon mount AF-S lens or most of the lenses made by Tokina, Sigma, Tamron, and other 3rd party lens makers.
If you are ok with manual focus, it can mount any Nikon lens made over the last couple of decades,. As Nikon has kept the same basic mount since the Nikon F and the Nikkormats of the 1960s.

And some sample photos. Just click on the drop-down Now Showing window for standard picture subjects, or use the Search box to find the types of pictures you're interested in.
Bottomline- see which camera fits YOU. Every photographer will extoll the virtues of the system that they've invested in (full-disclosure: I'm a Nikon photographer and have been for over 20 years). See which system fits your hands, and which menu system works best for you.
The best camera is the one that doesn't get in the way of your creative vision.
