Nikon or Canon cameras? - 2
I'm looking to get a decent professional camera just to start up some photography. What would be the better way to go? If not either, than what?
I vote for Nikon am using from past three years i like it.
Sony.
I've had Canon. Great Quality photos. Have yet to buy a Nikon.
Professional cameras cost more than $2500, not including lenses and other acessories. What you're interested in is called an "entry-level" DSLR. Nikon and Canon both have strong points and weak points. For example, some Nikon DSLRs perform better in high ISO/low light situations than Canons, but Canon lenses are cheaper, etc etc etc. Two good entry-level DSLRs are the Nikon D3100 and Rebel T3.
Professional cameras cost between $ 4, 000 and $ 43, 000. You are looking for an entry level DSLR. Nikon and canon are almost identical at the entry level.
The Nikon/Canon question is often asked by a lot of people.
In general, it pretty much just depends on the feel and use of the menu system. That's what seems to separate most peoples view. You can find in both brands the spec you are looking for in various models.
I've used both, but prefer the feel and usability of a Nikon.
The only other thing I would say is that there's a bit of an issue with Canons lenses in that the newer EF-S lenses are not backward compatible, and the EF range which they are still promoting, they should have moved on from to full EF-S models. You can read more about it below.
Canon and Nikon have similar cameras in the same price range, Pentax has also superior cameras in the entry level cameras but it's hard to find good lenses.
If you want a professional camera, the best one is a Hasselblad.
Whatever you decide on, you stay with it. Changing from one to another is like getting a divorce.
Actually you don't have to spend $43, 000 on a Hasselblad pro camera, the Nikon D3S is much cheaper. It's $5, 199.95 on line, just camera no lens, lol.
I'm a Nikon guy, but I wouldn't try to convince you one way or the other between Nikon and Canon. It's like tossing a coin. Suggestion is go to Best Buy and handle each brand and see how quick you go to different settings from menu. You don't have to buy from Best Buy. A fine entry level would be the Nikon D3100.
- Is Kodak cameras better than canon and nikon slr cameras?
- Why aren't Sony cameras as popular as Nikon and canon cameras?
- Nikon cameras vs Canon cameras?
- Which camera should i choose? (Nikon D5100, Canon 60D, Canon 600D, or Canon 650D)?
- Do you think touch screen cameras like the Nikon D5600 make cameras like the Nikon D5 look like 70's computers without the mouse?
