Nikon L829 in plum or black?

So I've decided to get the Nikon L820 for my birthday and it comes in a deep plum or black. The plum is slightly more expensive but looks really nice. Whereas the black is much more classic and I like that too. So really I'm just looking for opinions on which colour to get.

I disagree with Vinegar Taster here, and I'd personally go with plum but on the other hand I agree with Andrew so why not a pink Sony Cybershot or a Ricoh WG4.in yellow?

Indeed an "L" series is not a good idea.

And in general a camera is a tool for recording images, so technically it does not matter what the body colour is.
