Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6 ED VR AF-S? Good lens?

I'm thinking about getting this lens. But I don't like that it only goes down to 4.5. Thoughts? I do a lot of outdoor photography and weddings.

For the price, sure.

For shooting weddings you need the 70-200 mm f/2.8 with your standard 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens. If your fees are high enough, you can afford any lenses and cameras you need

Outdoor photography, yes. Weddings, so-so. Outdoor sports, great!

F/4.5 a problem? Raise ISO. If you want lower f/numbers, get non-zooming lenses.
