Night Skyline Photo lens?

I bought a Nikon SLR recently. I have KIT lens, 18-105MM and another 50MM 1.8G. I'm looking to do some night skyline photography in Boston and wondering what lens I need to buy. I do have a tripod.

Your kit lens, with the camera mounted on the tripod, should do just fine. Make sure to have VR deactivated when you put the camera on a tripod for a long exposure. Trigger the shot with a remote or using the self timer to avoid camera shake from pressing the shutter release button.
If you want something wider, consider the Nikkor 10-24mm, Tokina 11-16mm or Sigma 10-20/4-5, 6 (which is better than the more expensive f/3.5 version!)
