My SD card won't work with my new camera
I've just bought a new nikon L110 camera and i already had a sd card at home so i didn't think of buying a new one, when i got home i tried putting the sd card in the slot in my camera and when i turn it on a message comes up saying 'card can't be read' then my camera turns off. What does this mean? My sd card is 1.0GB
Plug the card into your computer and format it, then try it in your camera and if it doesn't work try formatting it from your camera.
Buy some new cards, they're not expensive.
.also, 1GB is very small for todays cameras, get some 4GB and format them in the camera before taking any photos.
I would agree and buy a larger memory card but also make sure the kind of SD card works with your camera (my camera only accepts 1 brand of SD card)
New cards will work after being formatted in your camera, but Michael is correct also. The card is currently corrupted. First format the card in a PC computer to FAT32 format. Afterwards format that same card in your camera using its format feature.
