My mac desktop isn't reading my memory card?

So i have a sandisk memory card from my nikon and i want to import it on my mac desktop and i don't know where the place to insert the memory card is? Help! What to do to import? And open up the pics.

If there are no slots on the desktop computer, you may buy a usb card reader.
