Looking for old school SLR camera?
I saw from first hand an Nikon EM and i loved the split circle focusing screen and its semi-electro/mechanical too.
i want to find an equal film canon model if possible, i want all the canon slr's that have split circle screen and can work with or without battery's (just for exposure metering)
Perfect camera for you, 100% manual Canon TX. I learned photography on it. Built like a tank. Very reasonable. Also, the Canon A1 is a classic.
The Nikon EM was one of their worst-ever cameras, exceeded only by the L810.
Nikon's FM-series are what you want, the Pentax KX (1975, not the digital K-x), KM, MX and K1000, or the Olympus OM-1.
Canon abandoned mechanical SLRs after the FTb ( a collector's piece) and F-1, the manual AT-1 having an electronic shutter.
