Looking for a point and shoot camera with long shutter speed?

I want to purchase a point and shoot camera with a large range of shutter speed because I like to do light painting. Money isn't really a factor. I would prefer it has a larger zoom.something similar to the Nikon s9100. I would go with that one but i was told it had a short shutter speed.

Added (1). Yes, I meant manual shutter speeds. I have a DSLR camera at home, I'm just looking for a point and shoot that has a longer time. I would prefer a little larger than 15 seconds but if thats not possible oh well. Again money isn't a factor.

Shutter speeds are dictated by available light. Do you mean manual shutter speeds?

Try the Canon G series.

Any camera that allows you to use manual settings will let you set the shutter speed yourself. You can have it really fast or long.

If P&S to you mean small, compact and cheap - it doesn't exist. However a bridge camera can be a point and shoot and can give you long shutter speeds.

There's lots of good bridge cameras out there, especially by Canon, Nikon and Fuji. Shop.

The compact Canon's usually have exposure times up to 15 seconds. Compacts rarely have longer than that, because noise gets severe on the small sensors in very low light. Anyway, the cameras with manual control like the SX 130 IS, SX230, S95, and G12 are easy enough to set to 15 seconds. The automatic digital Canons can also be manually set from 1 to 15 seconds. They have a long shutter mode that is usually controlled by some button pushes to switch from the exposure compensation setting.
