Looking for a new camera, just a point and shoot bc I have an SLR?

I'm a fan of cannon and nikon but am open to any ideas. I would like a point and shoot that also shoots HD video since that would save me on buying a flip camera. I saw a cannon which is small and black about 180 dollars ( forget the model #) and it looks nice, but has bad reviews on the photograph quality. Please Help!
Added (1). I don't know why i spelled it "cannon" oops! I've been into photography for years and am in graphic design. How I made a mistake like that, who knows.lol

Sorry, but the only "cannon" I know doesn't shoot photos… It shoots cannonballs… Darn.

You should go with Canon PowerShot SX130IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera
Shoot 720p HD video with stereo sound while using the optical zoom
High-powered 12x wide-angle optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer
Scene modes like Miniature Effect for Movie and Fisheye Effect; Advanced Smart AUTO
DIGIC 4 Image Processor, with 12.1 megapixels; 3.0-inch wide LCD
Capture images to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards (not included)

My advise is going to http://searchreviews.com and looking for a "cheap reliable easy camera"
Here are the ones that came up with 5 stars when I searched that: http://searchreviews.com/search.jsp? Reviews=cheap+reliable+easy+camera&rating=rating:[5+TO+*]
