Looking for a new camera? - 3
I have a passion for taking photos and film making, and I'm searching for a new camera.
I'm looking for something (probably Nikon or Canon), that has the ability to record very HD video and also good quality pictures. I've been searching but can't decide because there are so many. My price range would probably be nothing more than $700.
So, to get to the point, I was wondering if there was anyone who could recommend a few really good cameras?
At that level they are all pretty much identical in terms of specifications and performance.
Pentax is also very good and better than Canon and Nikon for Video.
For clarity, there's NO "very HD video"
There's HD (1280 x 720 which uses 0.9 mp), Full HD (1920 x 1080 which uses 2.1 mp) and the new UHD (4k), (4,096x2,160 which uses 8.8 mp)
As the resolution of video increases, so does the overhead, meaning that you will need faster and faster computers to process the video as you go from HD, Full HD and UHD
When you place a limit of $700, that drops you down to entry level digital SLR cameras like the Nikon D3400, Pentax K-50 or Canon T6/1300D Both come with a standard 18-55 mm. All three of these cameras can shoot in Full HD. Only the Nikon D3400 can shoot Full HD at 60 fps
