Looking for a DSLR, good value all round?
I'm looking for a digital slr, however it would be my first so should be quite simple. Looking to spend around £400, and would hopefully like a decent make. I've heard Nikon are quite good?
Any help would be appreciated
I got a d3100 recently.around your budget and i love it. You will get a lot of advice saying you should spend thousands for the latest "what ya bobber" but the d3100 or the entry level canon will give you great results as long as you point it at the right thing.
google "ken rockwell" for some tips and advice to help you choose
The Nikon D3100 or Canon T3 (not T3i) are both nice. I like the Nikon better for you because of the guide mode that will help beginners.
I found a review for you to read at (http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Nikon_D3100/verdict.shtml).
It has a section that compares the D3100 to the T3 noting pros and cons for each choice.
You can always start in AUTO and progress to the advanced modes and manual when you are ready.
