What Nikon DSLR to get?

Hi

I currently have a Nikon F80 Film SLR (N80 in the states) and a Nikkor 24 -200 mm "D" lense.

I'm looking at getting a DSLR and want to be able to use my lenses from my F80.

Okay some questions!:

1. Can i use my f80 lenses and dslr lenses on both cameras
2. What nikon dslr should i get. I'm not on a huge budget but i don't want to be buying another for a good few years!
3. What are good places to buy from?

Thanks all!

Added (1). Oh - forgot to mention that i do mostly low light and astral photography!

If you buy a D90 or D7000, you can use all your AF lenses.

Entry level cameras use AF-S lenses so if you buy one of them, you would have to manually focus your lenses using the electronic rangefinder

To answer you well

#1 yes absoultely as long as you get a D70 or higher…
#2 the D90 or D7000 is your best bet and they both (especially the D90) function like the f80
#3 I buy at Samys (local camera store) but any best buy or reputable amazon retailer is good

Also the D90 and especially the D7000 are great cameras in low light and work well for astro photography. I recommend also buying another lens that has a faster aperture like the 35mm f1.8 or 80-200 f2.8 as those lenses work wonders in low light…

I own both cameras and do tons of night shooting with no problems…
