Looking for a new Nikon lens?

I'm looking at getting a refurbished AF-S VR Zoom-NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED from the Nikon website as a second lens for sports photography. If anyone has any thoughts/suggestions please let me know!

It is a very good lens, especially considering what it costs.

Nikon refurbished lenses are very reliable.

As long as it is daylight sports photography, it will be OK.

Also check Amazon and B&H. They sometimes sell Nikon factory refurbished for a bit less than Nikon's outlet store.

Their refurbished stuff comes from Nikon, and sometimes they offer a 1yr in-store warranty for the refurbished gear while Nikon warranty is only 90 days.

So it is the same identical goods, but you might get a slightly longer warranty from Adorama or B&H.

But with Nikon refurbished gear, they are not always in stock, so if you find it, buy it.

I bought a refurbished Nikon 18-200mm lens from the Nikon outlet store and I'm happy with it.
