Is it worth to sell my lens?

I'm using a Nikon full frame body. But at the same time I'm using Tokina 12-24mm f/4. The thing is. The lens is to wide until there will be a fisheye effect if I put the zoom at '12mm'.Is it worth to sell it and buy Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 & Nikkor 50mm f/1.8?

Personally I thought about selling one of my lenses. But then i realised i might regret it - its nice to build up a collection.

I think if you can manage you should save a bit longer until you can afford the one you want and then have both.

And you could just leave it at 24mm which should be fine.

The lens isn't too wide and it's not a fisheye effect. What you're seeing is vignetting as the lens is not made for full frame / FX cameras but DX ones.

Note that the tamron 17-50 is a DX lens too… It will result in the same problem on a FX camera.

The tokina isn't a full frame lens…

and you won't get the fish eye "look" as it isn't a fish eye lens… It is an ultra wide angle lens…

You are using a lens designed for APS-C sensors on a FF camera. Put your camera in the DX mode or buy a lens that is designed for FF/35mm cameras. (I think Nikon calls it the FX format).

You may want to study the 24-70mm or 17-35mm lens.

"The lens is to wide until there will be a fisheye effect."

Based on the lens you are using I would guess you are actually seeing a vignetted image coupled with extreme wide angle. 12mm is really wide on a FF camera.

Don't sell it. That is too big of a hassle. Just put it in a box and ship to me. That will save you from trying to find a buyer.
