If 28-300mm nikkor fx lens is used in dx camera, can it affect the angle of view?
Will i have the 28mm wide angle or will it lessen the the wide angle?
It is effectively a 42-450 zoom on a DX body. I use the 28-300 several times a month and I love it - especially for sports events.

The focal won't change, 28mm would be 28mm but the angle of view will change, the Nikon 28-300mm has an angle of view of 74° at 28mm & 8° at 300mm on an FX sensor camera, when mount on a DX camera the angle of view will change because of the crop factor, it will become 53° for 28mm - 5° for 300mm.
DX cameras have a crop factor of 1.5x - the sensor is cropped, the lens will still be a 28mm.
So 28mm will equate to a 42mm lens on a full frame camera. Which isn't particularly wide angle.
