How to use a micro four-thirds cameras with my Nikon lenses?

I'm looking at getting a micro four-thirds camera, and I'd like one that doesn't require me to buy new lenses if possible, since it's mostly going to be a back-up for my Nikon DSLR. They're all Nikkor lenses, and Nikon doesn't make a micro four-thirds, so I know I can't use them directly, but is there an adapter I could use with a specific camera?

There are adapters. Some support metering, although they don't support autofocus. The image quality should be good, because no extra optics are needed to allow the lenses to focus to infinity. However, the extra bulk and lack of autofocus may be an annoyance.

Consider the new Nikon 1 EVIL cameras. Besides their own line of lenses, they'll work with your current AF-S lenses if you use the future available adaptor.

Otherwise, look at this adaptor.

You won't have autofocus, VR, or the ability to use G series lenses (aperture ring is required), but your Nikon lenses WILL mount and meter.

Today Nikon just announced a new line of mirrorless cameras - called Nikon 1. The Nikon V1 is supposed to have an adapter for f-mount lenses if not now, but in the near future.

I have a micro 4/3 camera and bought couple of cheap manual Minolta lenses on ebay with an adapter. You can pick the lenses up for around $45 and the adapters for around $30. I use them in Aperture Priority mode as I used to when I had my old Olympus OM10 and they work fine.
If I were you I would sell the Nikkor lenses on ebay and buy the cheap manual lenses & adapter to start with. After selling the Nikkor lenses you will probably have money to spare to buy the odd Olympus or Panasonic autofocus lens as well as the kit lens you get with the camera.
