How to mount the Nikkor 18.5mm f1.8 lens to a Canon Rebel t5i?

If so, any idea on the actual focal length after the 1.6x crop factor and adapter?

I guess, but there's NO Nikkor 18.5 mm lens.

Try again but using an actual lens made by Nikon.

Next?

The focal length of lenses do NOT change, only the angle of view when using a cropped sensor camera.

Adapters eat one stop of light and of course negate any auto features of any lens that is not native to the camera you are using.

If you already have a Nikon system, why the change to Canon? Or did you get a good "deal" on a Nikkor lens.

I have listed a link to all the current Nikkor lenses. Take a look and see exactly which one you actually have

I do not know why you bought a T5i/700D, but if you had done the research, you would have noticed that the Nikon D5300 (the competing dSLR) actually has a sensor that preforms better than the T5i

I think you may have spent money you did not need to spend.

Nikon 1 NIKKOR 18.5mm f/1.8 (link below)

I didn't buy the Nikkor lens. I'm just shopping around for an affordable wide angle lens with a low f stop.
I currently have the Canon Rebel t5i.

A Nikon F lens could be mounted on an EOS body with an adapter. The Nikon F mount is narrower than the EOS. It would of course have problems of no electronic connection making it a struggle.
However the Nikkor 18.5mm is a Nikon 1 lens. The flange to focal plane distance is too short. Also it is designed to cover a smaller sensor than the APS-C Canon EOS. No one bothers to make an adapter for this incompatible combo.

Fhotoace nails this question… I almost laughed when I read it… And had already made my mind up to skip it because the advice was 100%.

That lens is for the Nikon Compact System Cameras… Why don't you scroll down to the 'Customer Questions' paragraph just before the Reviews and read them… It's mentioned there.

You really need to invest some time in learning about photography… A photography guide book would be a good place to start… Your question shows your inexperience.

It isn't a criticism… Everyone has to start somewhere… Learning will help you grow much quicker than spending.

So, the answer to your question is no, that lens does not mount on your camera.

For a wide angle lens with a low f stop, have you looked at Tokina's 11-16mm f/2.8 lenses (yes, they have two)?

There's no way possible to mount the 1 Nikkor 18.5mm f/1.8 lens on your Canon.

If you want an affordable wide angle and can live with a slower aperture take a look at the new Canon 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM for around $300.00

If you can manage with a slightly longer focal length look at the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 zoom lens. About $700.00 in a Canon mount.

Sorry this is a little off topic, but for the last couple months i've been making $300/day just by cheating at online roulette.
The method is so simple just watch this youtube tutorial
