Best nikon lens for low light stills and videos? DX?
I think Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G Autofocus Lens is my best choice, i will use it mostly for shooting videos of my acrobatics, and i like to train at night a lot, will this be able to do what i need or is there a better choice? I'm using a d5300 if that matter

Yes, always give the make and model of your camera for questions in this forum.
I'm not a fan for the extra half stop aperture for these lenses. Pumping up the ISO a half stop probably won't hurt the IQ. The f/1.8 seems to fit the bill and the f/1.4 probably gains you nothing. Http://www.adorama.com/alc/0012817/artic…
If the lens is for training only, the fixed focal length should be fine. But if you want to shoot meets as well, the inability to zoom may prove to be frustrating. Although, with some cropping, you should get what you want.
My son was able to get a great 'leap" pic of my granddaughter with his Canon using a 50mm lens at f/1.4, 1/400 and ISO 800 from across the gymnasium, I would guess about 25 yards. You can expect similar success.
