Is this a major camera problem or can i fix it myself?

I have a Nikon digital camera and just recently i was using it and it worked fine but now for some reason when i turn it on i can't see what I'm taking a picture of and if I try to go back and see the pictures i have already taken it just shows distorted. The weird thing is I have a wire the i can connect it to the TV and when i connect it it works just fine the color is good i can see the picture and i can go back and see the recent pictures with no problem so does anyone have any advice is it something I could fix or should i just take it to a repair dude to save myself from breaking it please respond.

It sounds like the display was broken. That is usually not something you can fix yourself. It tends to happen from shock or pressure, so if you dropped the camera it is likely that the screen was damaged as a result.

Sorry about that, the camera is still useful as a camera, you just won't be able to see what you're taking a picture of right away.
